The fundraisers listed below are wonderful fundraisers because they cost you virtually nothing but a little effort, yet provide money for the church. Some are new, some we have been doing for a while. We need EVERYONE … and your friends and family … to participate!!!

Go to http://www.goodsearch.com/. Type in “Metropolitan Community Church of Louisville” as your charity. Place this page on your toolbar and it will automatically pop up, completely filled it, when you select that icon. Use it for every search that you do. MCCL receives a penny for every search. If 100 of us do this twice a day, we would receive $730 each year!!! And by enlisting others to help us, that amount can grow!
Kroger’s Gift Cards
We are already making $300-400 each quarter, but we need more people participating. Purchase a card for $5 from Betty Wetherow at church. The gift card has $5 on it already, so it really cost you nothing. Go to Kroger’s. At the Customer Service desk have them put more money on your card from your debit card, a check, or cash. Then use the gift card when you check out at the grocery, pharmacy, or gas pump. You can also put the money on the card at the check out lane in the grocery, but not at the pharmacy or gas pump. Just keep using your card over and over. It has MCCL’s number encrypted on it and we get 4% of your purchases. Give one to family and friends to use, too!

This one you do have to join. Go to http://www.igive.com/, put in “Kentucky” and then “Religious/ Spiritual”. Go to the second page of options and select “Metropolitan Community Church of Louisville”. Every time you want to shop at over 680 online stores, including most major stores and brands, do so from this site and a percentage of your purchase will be donated to MCCL.
Aluminum Cans and Items
This one takes a little bit of effort, but no money!!! Even if you live in an area that provides recycling, please save your soda cans and other pieces of aluminum (foil, food preparation containers, etc.). Bring them on the last Sunday of the month and put them by the ramp in the back. Cindy Hawkins then takes them to the recycling center. This is pure profit for the church!!!
GFS
Do you ever shop at Gordon Food Services on Hurstbourne? They sell food and related items in bulk. As you check out, just tell them to credit MCC. We receive a percentage of your purchase.
Cartridges and Cell Phones
We have cleared $160 on this project so far. Keep bringing them in!!! Cell phones that can’t be recycled are donated for use by abused women in calling 911 for help.

AND INK CARTRIDGES
We are beginning a collection of old cell phones and used ink cartridges. There is a box in the Auditorium in which you may place your donations. Talk to your family, neighbors, coworkers, etc., and get them to give you theirs, too!
This is a pure profit fundraiser for MCCL. The recycling company sends us the collection box AND pays the postage for us to return it to them ... and we get a check for the donated items!!! Depending on the brand, two types of cell phones will bring in as much as $100 apiece!!! Cartridges can mean up to $4 for the church.
RAINBOW CLOSET
The Rainbow Closet will be open on the third Sundays of the month following worship, so stop by THIS SUNDAY and see all the beautiful new items we have!!! Beginning in September, we will also have craft items on display. It's never too early to think about Christmas shopping!!! We'll be open on the third Sunday of every month!
